Curriculum
Yoko Uwate received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Tokushima University,
Tokushima Japan, in 2003, 2005 and 2006, respectively.
From April 2008 to March 2010, she was working as Post Doctoral Fellow for Research Abroad of Japan Society
for the Promotion Science (JSPS) at STOOP Group, Institute of Neuroinformatics (INI), University and ETH Zurich, Switzerland.
In 2010, she joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Tokushima University, Tokushima Japan,
where she is currently working as an associate professor at Nonlinear Circuits Laboratory, Tokushima University, Japan.
From August 2016, she is working again for half a year as Visiting Scientist at at STOOP Group,
Institute of Neuroinformatics (INI), University and ETH Zurich, Switzerland.
Dr. Uwate was a member of the IEEE CAS Society Board of Governors (2013-2015),
and she was a WiCAS-YP chair of IEEE CAS Society (2014-2015).
She was an Associate Editor of the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON CIRCUITS AND SYSTEMS—I: REGULAR PAPERS
from December 2012–December 2013.
Her research interests include complex phenomena in chaotic circuits and neural Networks.
She is a member of the IEEE, the IEICE and the RISP.
